“Design is really about creating a quality of life, and beauty in that
life that nourishes the soul, that makes life beautiful. That’s what all this
is about, not just what’s in and what’s out.”
~Albert Hadley
I admit that my instinct for
spatial planning makes me the 'guest from hell'. When we designed this tiny
London flat, I put my principles into practice, creating a well- ordered
space. The flat is small but perfectly
formed. For the client, a first-time buyer, we have transformed the space on a
budget.
There is never a need to paint an
entire small apartment bright white; color can add real drama to small spaces.
Living in small quarters also doesn't have to mean sacrificing style for drab
storage solutions and "it's the only thing that will fit" furniture.
The client works very long hours
and is often away for weeks. She is not
a passionate cook so the kitchen was not a big priority. For relaxation she enjoys the garden, a well
designed living room for entertaining, and a comfortable bedroom for relaxing.

Love the layout. Will you come an re-design my dingy little London flat?
